That’s me.
Hello there and Welcome To My Blog / Website! My name is Dr. Jewel Nambiar also known as The Theoretical Doctor.
1. Why Did I Choose The Name “The Theoretical Doctor”?
I used to tease one of my senior / mentor who eventually became a dear best friend of mine, Dr. Tan Wei Shern as “Theoretical Doctor” as he would use the word “theoretically” A LOT in his sentences.
Eventually, when he graduated, I changed his alias to “Dr. Theoretical” as he was then technically a doctor, just one who was yet to practise as he was awaiting his internship.
At the time of writing this post, he is a practising doctor but the name The Theoretical Doctor holds something meaningful and dear to my heart.
As I was thinking of a name for my channel (as it was one of my goal to have a teaching channel), I finally settled on the idea “The Theoretical Doctor” as I am one (at the moment) a Doctor on paper.
Hence, that’s how the name came to be.
2. Why Did I Create This Blog / Website?
This website / blog is mainly designed for me to post random articles relating to the medical field, my medical school journey as well as a place for me to share my notes from my YouTube Channel, The Theoretical Doctor.
In due time, I may include articles regarding my internship period or experiences as a practising physician.
I hail from Malaysia and obtained my Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from MAHSA University, Malaysia.
