5 daily / everyday things that brings me happiness. Article written by Dr. Jewel Nambiar, The Theoretical Doctor.

Generally, I would consider myself a jovial person. Those who know me personally have mentioned it many times. It really doesn’t take much to make me well, happy.

I smile easily and laugh at almost about anything. It can be a negative thing at times when the situation requires me to be serious and I’m on the brink of bursting.

However, the question prompts me to write 5 everyday things that brings me happiness. Thus, here they are.

1. Breakfast & Eating

This is embarrassing that it even had to be part of the list, better yet, the top of the list.

We all know that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. But I’m just a major foodie who eats just about anything.

Alright, not just anything. I draw the line at weird, odd insects, snails and reptiles.

But a major foodie nonetheless that I have to occasionally go on a food retreat such as completely cutting out cards and going on a full on oat diet or fasting or on a pure vegetarian diet.

I’ll be strictly adhering to it until the season ends and then back to indulging every meal as if it is my last one.

I definitely have a questionable relationship with food that needs further investigation.

2. My Family & Loved Ones

Maybe I have the fear of missing out or detachment disorder but basically, every time my parents head out for work, or to the grocery store or just about anywhere (outside of course, I don’t follow them into the toilet or shower), I would be tag along even when I have multiple things on my plate.

I have no issues being alone and most of the times I do enjoy being alone. However, when it comes to my parents and some of my friends, I’m just a phone call or video call away. I would be there.

I enjoy being with them or spending time with them even while doing the simplest things.

3. Coffee & Green Tea

I need my daily caffeine dose.

Green tea is like water to me closely followed by black coffee. However, I still consume a large amount of water.

Does that mean that I am a frequent visitor to the great dumping room in the house? Yes I definitely am.

Caffeine doesn’t keep me awake or alert. I could literally go to sleep the next minute after a jug of coffee. It is merely the smell and taste that brings me joy.

4. Writing

Well if you don’t already know this, I LOVE to write!

That’s why I blog almost everyday and those who have a blog or write on a regular basis, share the same interest as well. There is nothing more therapeutic than taking some time for yourself to just sit and write or type away your thoughts.

5. Working On My YouTube Channel

Yes, I have a YouTube channel with a small amount of followers which I am extremely grateful for.

My channel, The Theoretical Doctor, is mainly an educational channel where I post Biology and Medical-related Topics with occasional Vlogs.

However, a lot of planning and editing goes into making my videos from simply sitting and writing out my notes for the upcoming series or editing the slides to be used in my videos or even the flashcards to editing the videos to be posted on my channel.

It brings me great joy especially now when I do have the time while awaiting my internship.

Thus, these are the 5 daily things that adds more joy to my already bright and beautiful day.
