I rarely go shopping in terms of clothes and shoes. In fact, the last time I actually did went shopping for myself would probably be 5-6 years ago when I was in high school. Considering me and my mom are about the same size, I would usually settle for clothes that do not fit her or designs that do not suit her.
Thus, I have categorised them accordingly.
1. Clothes

Generally, I wear a lot of dresses and my mom is an avid SHEIN shopper. Hence, I wear a lot of dresses from SHEIN to class or to the hospital. Therefore, I do not need to worry if my top matches my bottom since they are a set, I look feminine and good at little to no effort.
Besides that, it is convenient if I were to go travelling. I could easily carry 2-3 days worth of clothes and not to mention, they are also lightweight and of thin material since the weather in Malaysia is rather hot and humid.
2. Shoes

We had to wear “covered shoes”. Hence, most of the time, I wore a pair of boots. It’s simply comfortable for me and I used to walk a lot.
Besides that, I had two pairs of heels, one beige and the other black. Depending on my outfit, I would switch it up once in a while.
Thus, I used to wear Clark shoes. So far, the shoes have lasted me till the end of medical school and is now tucked away in my shoe rack and their size fits me perfectly without giving me blisters right from the very beginning.
Previously, I used to buy other brands at a much cheaper price. However, though they look good, they weren’t comfortable and since I had to stand and walk a lot, I would be left with tons of blisters at the end of the day.
In addition to that, I used to use Skechers as well but the sole would easily be worn out. Yes, I walk A LOT and considering I am “lazy” to go shopping, it would be a while before I go out to get another pair.
3. Electronic Gadgets

Apple.
My laptop, iPad, phone and watch.
I like the ease and ability that allows me to sync my data across all devices. It’s not that other brands aren’t able to do that. However, I made the switch from Android to iOS when I was in Form 6 (about 8 years ago at the time of writing) and since all my data are there, it is convenient for me.
I do not keep up with the release of the latest gadgets every time there is a new release. I basically use it till it well, ceases to function.
4. Bags

I love leather bags. Any brand is fine as long as they are leather.
However, as I mentioned, I simply dislike shopping. I usually prefer to go in and get what I need and then immediately out of the store. Somehow, looking around gives me anxiety and I tend to settle for the first one I see.
Luckily enough, my mom is a person who loves to go shopping and I have a lovely aunt who would love to send her bags once in a while.
Thus, I would settle for bags which again, she does not use or dislike.
Hence, I had three different types of bags according to size which were small, medium and large.
Most of the time, I would use the medium-sized handbag since my coffee tumbler, iPad and essentials would fit perfectly and it’s not too heavy.
The small-sized one, I would use on days that I do not bring my iPad (My iPad consists of ALL my notes and books) or if I were to go on an outing with my friends.
The large-sized one, I would use on days I have presentations as I would bring my laptop, adaptor and necessary cards and cables.
Personally, I love consistency and dislike change very much. Perhaps, I am a creature of habit. Hence, when I do acquire an item, I prefer something that is simple, goes about with almost anything, low maintenance and is able to last a really long time.
