What do you enjoy most about writing?
The earliest that I can remember writing was when I was around 10-11 years old. I would come up with random stories, most of it inspired by Enid Blyton’s stories or any supernatural stories. As I grew older, I started writing even more and longer. Somehow, the words kept pouring out and the ideas kept flowing endlessly.
Writing fired my imagination even more and I was at a happy place or realm, working towards building my own universe of where I felt I could be myself and be at peace, away from the issues that were going on in the present world.
It was my mode of escape.
As I entered university, gone were the days where I used to divulge in fictional writing and started writing more articles or blog post, I learn to merely pour out my emotions and care into words, words that were nicely arranged into sentences and paragraphs and uploaded online to be found and read by anybody who is like-minded or who resonates with me.
Writing clears the noise in my head. Most of the time, it is rather noisy, filled with worries and reflections. However, the moment I sit with a pen and my humble one-liner book and start writing, it is as if I have entered another dimension, one filled with peace and my mind clears.
As I let the trance of writing takeover me, next thing I know, I have completed an article and was ready to move on to the next topic or article.
I supposed that, “that” is the most enjoyable part about writing. The ability to mentally disconnect for a while to a different realm, one filled with peace, one which you are in control, as your pen serves as the sword, writing away on the paper and with each swift, the emotions, sorrows, joy and sadness flows and engraves itself within the article. Thus, making the article uniquely “you”.
Amidst all the noise, troubles and surrounding chaos, my mind is not limited within these four walls and goes beyond to a happy realm.
