2022 was the year I graduated medical school and officially became a Doctor! Well, theoretically… Hence, The Theoretical Doctor.
As of the moment, I am still awaiting my internship and currently in the midst of my application.
When I was in the first year of university, or in other words, a freshman, I had a blog. It’s still up somewhere but I never took it down nor did I update it.
I’ve always had a fondness for writing and as far as I know, this love of mine stems all the way back to primary school where I used to enjoy writing short essays, of course with numerous grammatical and spelling errors, and I’ve always thought that I would end up as a journalist.
As I grew older, I’ve attempted writing a novel (which is unpublished) and have multiple story drafts (which I’m sure most people who take delight in writing would understand). These were fictional.
However, be it fictional or not, I have always taken delight in just sitting at a corner and writing out my thoughts on a physical sheet of paper with a pencil (Yes, that’s how I draft out my articles before typing them on this website).
Nevertheless, I found that even during times when I’m feeling depressed, sharing them vocally just doesn’t do justice as compared to typing them out. Hence, the WhatsApp status acts as my solace and place of refuge for me to just vent.
Somewhere down the road, I discovered my passion and goal in life which is to teach.
Thus, the birth of my YouTube Channel began, The Theoretical Doctor. Great, a channel is now created but a place to share my notes would be excellent. Hence, the birth of this website which was initially created for the sole purpose of sharing my slides / notes from YouTube.
However, I realised that since it is MY BLOG, how about writing some articles? There are no rules for me here, after all, I am The Theoretical Doctor.
This is how this place came to be then. A place where I could safely express myself with certain sections serving as a room for when I wanted to teach, there is the MBBS FlashDash and STPM Biology and for when I wanted to speak my mind, there is the MedSchool Diaries / Blog.
Honestly, I do not know if anybody gives two cents about my thoughts on this website but I do know that this is my outlet and a place of solace for me. So, for any passers-by, I hope that the information I convey here or on any of my articles would benefit you in some way.
2022 might seem awfully late to start a blog but it has always been a desire of mine. Thus, while awaiting internship, why not fill this free time with something that has been at the back-burner for long?
In months or years to come, I hope this website does grow. If you’ve read till this part, thank you very much and I greatly appreciate you taking the time to read this.
I hope you are doing well in life.
Till then, take care.

Great on you for exploring your interest in writing! And I do hope you find your path in teaching too. Personal blogs make for an awesome place to discover our own writing voice, so I’m rooting for you to grow this page. Keep on keeping on!
